Open Season album release and tour

Open Season are an eight-piece good-time pop reggae band from Berne. This is what they have to say themselves about the album “Boombay”, their eigth, which was released by Irascible in Switzerland last November:

“This is excessive Caribbean-Indian bass music, produced with lots of pumping bass by Arschtritt Lindgren from Stuttgart/Berlin. The songs are about the red sun in a yellow sky, drunk elephants and dancing leopards, departure into the unknown, or the magical moment at a bar between too late and too early. That’s where we dance to thrilling synths, reggae and dancehall until we sweat bullets. Welcome to BOOMBAY!”

“Boombay” is indeed choc-a-bloc full of catchy tunes with a summery ska vibe – and from 27 February the album will be available worldwide through the Hamburg-based public relations and label services company Fleet Union. To celebrate this event, the band will be on tour in Germany and the Czech Republic throughout mid-April.
