Larytta with worldwide album release

Formed in 2004 in Lausanne, the mysteriously-named Larytta play synth-pop with a hint of Phoenix, a dash of Kraftwerk, a few bleeps of Hot Chip and “Popcorn”, plus a hefty dose of their own secret mixture of spices from North Africa, the Middle East and dodgy 1960s film soundtracks.

In order to make their live performances more dynamic, the original duo of Christian Pahud and Guy Meldem drafted in a couple of new members last year to turn themselves into a quartet.

Released by Creaked Records, Larytta’s second album “Jura” was available in Switzerland from last October. A first single, “Osama Obama”, is accompanied by a witty video directed by Young Genius Julien Mercier and produced by Augenblick Studios in Brooklyn.

On 16 February “Jura” will be released worldwide at last via a distribution deal with Wordandsound.
