From Kid release debut album

Their first electronica-pop single Sun was light and fluffy like a single white cloud in a blue sky, and it travelled around the world – even catching the ear of the Detnator-DJ-crew in Trinidad and Tobago who made a steel drum-flavoured Caribbean remix of it.

Andrin Berchtold and Gian Reto Camenisch, the singing songwriters, guitarists and keyboarders who are the core of From Kid have not rested on their laurels. Expanding their palette of sounds and dynamics by adding Gianluca Giger on bass and Sascha Frischknecht on drums, the band have been gigging solidly, including appearances at the Open Air St. Gallen, the Sound of the Forest Festival in Germany and the Les Trois Baudets in Paris, not to mention a support slot for John Newman in Zurich.

They have also completed their debut album. Preceded by the video/free download “Underground” and the single “Come In”, the album is entitled “You Can Have All The Wonders” and will be released on 30 January. Distribution is via Sony (Switzerland) and Cargo (Germany/Austria).

The band is supporting the release with an extensive tour of Switzerland including the m4music Festival in Zurich, followed by nine dates in Germany.
