Swiss Music Export at Waves Vienna, 2 – 4 October
Only in its fourth year, the Waves Vienna Music Festival and Conference is still a very young event. However, thanks to a great and unusual concept it has already secured a unique position in the European calendar. With its twin location of Vienna and Bratislava it acts as a bridge between Western Europe and Eastern countries like Poland, Hungary, Croatia as well as the Czech and Slovak Republics.
Of course, Swiss Music Export will also be present at Waves Vienna. The Swiss Business Mixer takes place at Xpedit Lager on Thursday 2 October, 17:45 – 19:00. Part of the event is a a showcase performance by the Animen. This great quartet from Carouge near Geneva mixes mid-sixties Who-style grit with a hint of White Stripes and a deliciously groovy keyboard sound. Highly recommended, particularly when accompanied by a selection of Swiss cheese appetisers and chilled white wine.
Two Swiss Bands – We Invented Paris and The Animen – are scheduled to appear during Waves Vienna Festival.
