Reza Dinally releases debut album

3 October sees the release via Sony Distribution of Reza Dinally’s remarkable debut album in Switzerland, Germany, Austria and France. “Depths of Montmartre” contains the essence of 33 years’ worth of life experience. After a false start with a grunge band as a teenager, Reza slipped into his new guise as a singer/songwriter more by chance than design. Working for another band as a sound technician, one day he was caught singing his own songs. The band were so impressed they recorded one of these themselves and press-ganged Dinally into supporting them on their next tour.

“Depths of Montmartre” was produced in Britany by Dave Odlum, once of much-loved Irish band the Frames. Dinally suggests that he would have no complaints if anyone were to compare his music to Peter Gabriel or Talk Talk. Elliott Smith might serve as another pointer. Ultimately, however, “Depths of Montmartre” sounds like nothing but Reza Dinally.
