Filewile win Black Butter remix competition

Filewile have won a remix competition launched by UK label Black Butter Records with their remodelling of the song “Poison” by Pablo Nouvelle.

With a track record as talent scouts that includes Clean Bandit, Jessie Ware, James Newman, Kidnap Kid, Rudimental and Woz, Black Butter Records specialises in electronic dance music and is one of the most successful independent labels operating in the UK today. After signing Berne-based artist Pablo Nouvelle – another artist who has enjoyed the full support of Swiss Music Export – in May, Black Butter started a competition for innovative remixes of Pablo’s tracks.

“Out of hundreds of entries these are our favourites: Max Liese, Filewile and NeMMZ” reads the announcement on Black Butter’s website. The remixes are available for free download. At the same time, Black Butter announced the release of Pablo Nouvelle’s first remix package with contributions from the likes of Maxxi Soundsystem, Calibre, Lulu James and ALX.

Like Pablo Nouvelle, Filewile are also based in Berne. Formed by Andreas Ryser and Daniel Jakob in 2003, they have been in the vanguard of electronic music making in Switzerland ever since. They have released numerous albums, remix collections and singles. They have also composed several film soundtracks and participated in a number of art events.
