Across Berlin with Mya Audrey

The Swiss pop-jazz singer Mya Audrey will be taking part in the next Across Berlin tour, taking place from 17 June – 21 June.

Across Berlin is a new project launched by Brand Booking GmbH. Its aim is to provide a platform for up-and-coming young artists with long-term ambitions to build a foundation for a career in Germany, the 4th largest music market in the world. The first edition of Across Berlin involves five series of concerts taking place between May and September. Each series contains five shows on five successive days, with four acoustic performances followed by one final full-band performance. The acts invited to perform are chosen by Brand Booking in close cooperation with record labels, management companies and music export bureaux.

Mya Audrey is a pianist and singer/songwriter in the tradition of Carole King, albeit with a slightly jazzier touch. Her self-released debut album “Sudden Breeze” came out in 2009. The follow-up, “Wayfaring Trails” (Sophie Records/Irascible), was recorded with musicians including Luk Zimmermann (Lunik), Roy Knauf (Seeed, Deichkind) and Thomsen Merkel (Mark Forster, Julia Mercell). It was released in May 2013. Mya Audrey who is now based in Berlin is signed to Royal Flame Music /22d Music Group.
