Camilla Sparksss releases debut album

7 April sees the hotly anticipated release of the debut album from Camilla Sparksss (in Italy, the album will be released in September 2014). It is called „For You The Wild“ and is released jointly by the French label Africantape and Camilla Sparksss’s own label, On the Camper Records. The album is a collection of songs written by Camilla and her partner Aris in the past eighteen months. Theirs is an idiosyncratic blend of electro/techno, rock and a superior line in catchy choruses. And, of course, there is also Camilla’s idisyncratic vocal style which can go from drily laconic to exuberant or even angry screaming in the course of a few beats. Camilla Sparksss’s music also comes with a series of smart videos, made on a minuscule budget with a maximum of wit. This truly is one of the most innovative, charming and – above all – musically convincing bands operating in Switzerland at present.
