Switzerland @ ILMC 2014 in London

Inaugurated in 1989, the International Live Music Conference (ILMC) swiftly became the first and most important meeting point for the global live concert industry. The declared aim of ILMC is “to bring professionals together to air their common goals, aims and issues, while providing unique networking opportunities”. ILMC has developed into a year-round organisation that also publishes IQ Magazine and runs other offshoot events such as the ILMC Production Meeting. The ILMC has also fostered the formation of most of the international industry’s current trade associations and it is used by those bodies as a means of regular communication.

This year’s ILMC event will take place from Thursday 6th March – Sunday 9th March 2014. For the first time, Switzerland will be taking part in the ILMC program thanks to a sideshow event featuring four of the finalists of the Swiss Live Talent competition organised by SwissAmp in November 2013 @ the legendary Bierhübeli in Berne.

SwissAmp is an organization set up by various representatives of the Swiss music industry “to support the promotion and distribution of musical creativity in Switzerland and abroad by supporting development and promotion of young artists especially within the new medias. Its actions are mainly focused on the young and new talents based in Switzerland. By its engagement in the field, SwissAmp plays a complementary role to the existing organizations in the live music landscape.”

Date:    Saturday, 8th March 2014
Time:    18.00 – 22.00h
